When we founded The Bench, it was because we saw a problem we knew the world needed solved. The Spring of 2022, the chaos of balancing work, friends, family, and time for myself was overwhelming. I was spending hours a day on the phone or meeting friends for lunch/dinner just to catch up on the dating drama in their lives.

With the ever expanding world of social media, the drama of dating has skyrocketed like no other. So many of the smart, wonderful people in my life were blinded by insecurities, arguments with significant others, needing opinions from friends, cheating rumors and more. For all the growth within the dating realm the drama seemed to be outdated and endless.

Sitting around a dinner table one night with some of our closest friends we thought, what if we could disrupt the dating world entirely? What if there was a way to constantly be updated on your friends dating drama without spending endless hours telling the same stories to each circle of friends in your life? What if there was a way to put it all in one place never to have to relive the drama again and update it in real time as it happens for all of your closest confidantes to see?

In that moment, The Bench was born. The Bench is a free mobile app designed to allow users to organize their dating lives and the drama within it and share it privately with their close inner circle of family and friends. 

We created this app because I was sick and tired of repeating the same sad stories of what happened to a guy I was seeing over and over again to all of my friends and my mom, even months after the fact. It’s exhausting and a huge waste of time. Now with one update, everyone in my inner circle can be updated on the drama immediately.
